Our Story

Elite Home Cleaning Services of Queens, NY opened in 2014 on Queens Boulevard, and two features of this neighborhood shaped the company almost immediately. The first was the co-op buildings. Forest Hills and Rego Park hold some of the largest and most particular boards in the borough, and a resident who simply wants a cleaner every other week can find themselves in a two-week back-and-forth with a managing agent about certificates of insurance, approved-contractor lists and service-elevator windows. We took all of that on ourselves, at no charge, and after 10+ years most of those managing agents have us on file already.

The second was what sits a few streets south of the boulevard. Forest Hills Gardens is a 1909 garden suburb laid out by Grosvenor Atterbury with landscape design by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr — Tudor Revival houses on privately maintained streets, full of leaded and stained glass, oak beams and paneling, original casements and plasterwork. Kew Gardens has its own version of the same idea, and Richmond Hill has streets of Queen Anne and Shingle Style frame houses from the 1870s with interiors that have survived astonishingly well. None of that tolerates a modern all-purpose cleaner, and a great deal of it cannot be replaced if it's damaged.

So we run what amounts to two disciplines out of one office. In the co-op buildings the work is administrative as much as practical: paperwork cleared in advance, elevator booked, cleaner on the list, and inside the apartment a careful job on pre-war parquet, plaster and original tile alongside modern hard-water descaling on fixtures and shower screens. In the Gardens, Kew Gardens and Richmond Hill it's slower, quieter work with neutral products and soft cloths, an understanding of how private streets and access conventions operate, and the discretion that a neighborhood of long-tenured households reasonably expects. 7,500+ cleans in, we're comfortable in both.

Everything else is straightforward and doesn't move. Flat rates confirmed before we arrive and unchanged afterwards. No stair surcharge and no distance surcharge for Richmond Hill or Kew Gardens Hills. Every cleaner background-checked, insured and bonded. And a free re-clean within 24 hours if we miss something. In buildings and on streets where the same staff have worked for years, turning up when we said we would has done more for us than anything we could claim about ourselves.
